The Course of Bachelor of Architecture (B.Arch.) is a full-time 5 Year Degree Course. The Course is approved by COA (Council of Architecture, New Delhi) and DTE (Directorate of Technical Education) Maharashtra, Mumbai. The Degree is awarded by the University of Mumbai, since affiliated by it.
The admission process of the Course of B.Arch. shall be as per the Maharashtra Unaided Private Professional Educational Institution (Regulation of Admissions and Fees) Act, 2015 and as per the guidelines/directions issued by the Competent Authority i.e. Admission Regulating Authority (ARA) Maharashtra State, Mumbai.
As per the clarification regarding eligibility for admission in B.Arch. Course during 2019-20 given by COA, New Delhi.
The candidate should be an Indian national.
Passed HSC or its equivalent with Mathematics and obtained at least 50% marks in aggregate (at least 45% marks in aggregate in case of candidates of backward class categories and persons with disability belonging to Maharashtra state only) or as declared by the competent authority , from time to time.
Passed (10+3) full time diploma examination recognized by all India council for technical education (AICTCE) or central government or state government or its equivalent examination and obtained at least 50% marks in aggregate (at least 45%marks in aggregate in case of candidates of backward class categories and person with disability belongings to Maharashtra state only) with mathematics as compulsory subject or as declared by the Competent Authority, from time to time.
The candidate should have obtained qualifying marks in NATA or obtained Non-zero positive score in JEE (Main) Paper–II.
The candidate should have registered himself along with verification of the documents and application form confirmation at any Facilitation Centres (FC).
Clarification regarding eligibility for the admission into 5-Year B.Arch. Course during 2019-2020.
The Council of Architecture has been receiving queries from the student, institutions and general public regarding eligibility criteria to be followed by at institution all over the country for the admissions into 1st Year of 5-Year B.Arch. Degree Course for the academic session 2019-2020. It is hereby informed to all the concerned that as per the Council of Architecture, New Delhi, minimum standards of architectural education, 1983, no candidate, with less than 50%marks in aggregate, shall be admitted to the architectural course unless he/she has passed an examination or equivalent with mathematics as subject of examination at the 10+2 level.
Further, the candidates who have passed 10+3 diploma with subject of mathematics, duly recognised by central/state governments as equivalent to 10+2 level, with minimum 50% aggregate marks are also eligible for the admission to B.Arch. course during the year 2019-2020.
The institute shall follow the reservation policy of respective government in granting relaxation in percentage of marks obtained in the qualifying examination for the qualifying examination for the admission purpose.
The above eligibility shall be applicable for the academic session 2019-2020 only. It is also stated that admission into 1st Year of 5-year B.Arch. course shall be made by the institution subject to candidate passing an aptitude test in Architecture.
It is further informed that the revised eligibility for the admission to the said course as approved by the central government and applicable from the academic session 2019-2020 is as under:
No candidate shall be admitted to the architecture program unless and until she/he has passed an examination at the end of the 10+2 scheme of the examination with 50% marks in physics, chemistry and mathematics and also 50% marks in aggregate of the 10+2 level examination.
Only candidates fulfilling the revised eligibility criteria shall be eligible for the admission to the course from the session 2019-2020.
Interim Fee of Rs.1,45,000/- as approved and declared by the “Fees Regulating Authority”, (FRA) Maharashtra State, Mumbai, is applicable/chargeable for the candidates admitting in the First Year Architecture Course started during Academic Year 2019-20. In addition to this, candidate is also liable to pay the fees / charges payable to the University of Mumbai and also the security deposit (refundable) to the College for the admission in academic year 2019-20.
Since the above is interim fee, It is also applicable that in case, any increase in the fee structure during Academic Year 2020-21 or so then such revised /increased fees structure shall be payable by the candidates/parents. Also in case any decease in the fee structure during the Academic Year 2020-21, then the College authority shall refund the same within 4 weeks’ time and/or adjust the same against the fees receivable in the current/future debts.
Fees Refund Policy
The SKLTCOA will implement the fees refund policy for the Academic Year 2019-20 in toto as directed/ decided under the provisions made in Maharashtra Unaided Private Professional Education Institution (Regulation of Admission and Fees) Act 2015 and the Admission Regulating Authority, Maharashtra state, Mumbai from time to time.

Domicile Certificate of the candidate and father/mother of the candidate (in case of linguistic Minority, OMS certificate)
Eligibility Certificate from the University of Mumbai & Migration Certificate. (in case of candidates passing qualifying examination from any other board other than Maharashtra State Board Secondary & Higher Secondary Education)
