L Tiwari College of Architecture under Rahul Education started in 2016 with a Bachelor of Architecture degree under University of Mumbai for nurturing the creative skills of talented students.. The Course is approved by COA (Council of Architecture, New Delhi) and DTE (Directorate of Technical Education) Maharashtra, Mumbai. All the norms prescribed by the University are strictly adhered to and joint efforts are made continuously to improve the level of education.
Our curriculum stresses disciplined research, analysis, and synthesis as the fundamental skills that will allow our graduates to seize opportunities and explore new territories. In our extensive fabrication workshop, students learn to handle materials, explore structural systems, and refine building details. Our Design studios allow students to design and construct full-scale buildings, fulfilling the notion of a “hands-on” education. Experienced, qualified and expert faculty members, comprehensive syllabus and extensive facilities add tremendous value in enhancing the students’ knowledge and creative flair to ensure all-round development of students by planning seminars, workshops, excursions and other extracurricular activities all year round.
Teaching Methodology
Architecture is a part of the overall culture and cannot exist in a vacuum. In order to develop the budding architects on excellent lines, it is therefore necessary to go BEYOND THE CLASSROOM and give wider exposure to the students. With this objective in mind, extra classes, guest lectures and workshops are arranged.
The SKLTCOA believes in overall development of the students to make them competitive in the globalized world today, by providing excellent infrastructure, faculty and a conducive teaching-learning environment.
Research
The institute is conducting action research in all design studios by students and faculty. Systematic reviews are organized with external practitioners and academics to promote multidisciplinary viewpoints relevant to urban context.
The college believes that all problems, new or old, do have more efficient and appropriate solutions based on the uniqueness of the context.
What is different in SKLTCOA when compared with other colleges?
